Vision:
To create a stimulating and respectful learning environment which ensures individual students become autonomous leaders in their pursuit of a well-rounded, multi-faceted education grounded in innovation, aspiration, and imagination.
Mission:
The overall mission of the English Department is to promote literacy, which plays a prominent role in the world of communication, specifically the ability to read, write and think critically. It also provides diverse educational opportunities that empower students to become innovative, knowledgeable, and compassionate members of a global community.

Achievements
Student Achievements:
- N Prasanna and V. Sravani of H.E.CE received Prathibha Award given by the State Government for the top student at district level in B.A. course in 2015 for their performance in the university exams held in April 2016.
- Reshama Mishra And Jhansi Rani of HECE received Prathibha Awards for their performance in the exams held in April 2015.
- G.Venkata Sudha Mounica of H.E.CE received Prathibha award given by the State Government .for the top student at district level in B.A. course in April 2014.
- Reshma Mishra of I H.E.CE received State Level first prize in Essay writing in English and Hindi from the Commissioner of Collegiate Education in the year 2012-13.
- 50 of our students have received first, second or third prizes in English Elocution, Essay writing and debate competitions of District, State and college level.
Strengths
Strengths of the Department
- Two of the members are doctorates.
- One member is a research supervisor guiding two Ph.D. scholars at present.
- One member is RELO, US, Certified Teacher Trainer (Master Trainer) in ELT.
- One member has specialized in Assessment and evaluation from the University of Baltimore, U.S.A.
- One member is coordinator of employability programme (JKC).
- Two members teach communication and employability skills.
- The members use student centred teaching methodologies.
- Has a lab and members can use ICT tools comfortably.
- The number of students are on average 500.
- The library in the department has approximately 1000 books.
